Central Pulse and Northern Stars will face off in the ANZ Elimination final on Sunday, with the winners going into the final showdown next week.
The Pulse defeated the Stars in last year's Grand Final by a massive 19 goals, but both teams know tomorrow's rematch could be anyone's game.
For defending champions Pulse, it's all about small steps to the final.
"We didn't have a hugely successful start, but we always set the goal of making the playoffs," said coach Yvette McCausland-Durie.
They've done just that. After signing several young players, they sat near the bottom of the table during the first half of the season, but that slowly changed and now their rookies are ready for finals netball.
"I was on the bench for it last year, so it's a great opportunity for me this year to be able to experience it all on court," said shooter Amelia Walmsley.
"We've taken the learnings from that final last year, because it was quite traumatic for us all," says Stars midcourt Mila Reuelu-Buchanan. "I think we are prepared this time."
Prepared and ready to get to the final the hard way.
"I personally have a quiet confidence," says Stars captain Maia Wilson. "I don't mind being part of the elimination final.
"If we look back at our history, we've always been the underdogs and have been able to come out on top."
The winners will face Northern Mystics in next week's final. Whether it'll be the champion Pulse or the Stars searching for their first title, only time will tell.
