Cricket: Blackcaps pair Devon Conway, Mitchell Santner announced as signings for Stephen Fleming's Texas Super Kings in USA's Major League Cricket

Two more Kiwis have signed on to play in the new American Major League Cricket Twenty20 league, with Devon Conway and Mitchell Santner joining Texas Super Kings.

Owned by Indian Premier League giants Chennai Super Kings, and coached by Kiwi Stephen Fleming, Conway and Santner will turn out for their sister franchise, announced as marquee signings for the Texas outfit.

After winning this season's IPL, taking home man of the match honours in the final, Conway is a shrewd acquisition for Texas.

The 31-year-old finished as the third-highest run scorer in this season's IPL, with 672 at an average of 51.69, including six half-centuries and a high score of 92 not out.

And while Santner has found game time hard to come by in the IPL - vying with India and England internationals Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali for a place in the Super Kings' side - the 31-year-old is one of the world's premier slow bowlers.

In 91 T20 Internationals, Santner has taken 91 wickets at an average of just over 22, and concedes just 7.05 runs per over, on top of handy ability with the bat lower down the order.

Aside from the two Kiwis, Texas have also announced India's Ambati Rayudu, Australia's Daniel Sams, and South African pair David Miller and Gerald Coetzee as overseas signings for the inaugural MLC season.

As coach of Chennai, Fleming has led the Super Kings to a joint-record five IPL titles, putting the franchise level with Mumbai Indians as the competition's most decorated side.

The pair take the total of Kiwis playing in Major League Cricket to eight, following Thursday's announcement that Trent Boult will turn out for Mumbai Indians New York.

Fellow Blackcaps Martin Guptill, Lockie Ferguson, Glenn Phillips, Adam Milne and ex-Blackcap Corey Anderson are also confirmed to have signed on to play in the competition, beginning on July 14.
