NZ Football has referred alleged racial abuse of All Whites defender Michael Boxall to FIFA.
The NZ team refused to take the field for the second half of their international friendly against Qatar, after Boxall was allegedly abused by counterpart Yousuf Abdurisag.
The Qatari Football Association has since returned serve to say Abdurisag suffered racial abuse from the All Whites.
Currently awaiting the report from the match commissioner, FIFA - the game's governing body - is yet to take action towards either side, with no indication when a resolution might be reached.
Regardless, NZ Football has refuted any and all claims by Qatar against the All Whites, and confirms the matter has been put to FIFA to investigate.
"NZ Football fully refute these accusations and stand by our players," it said. "The footage of the game clearly shows several of our players responding in unison to something being said and the racial slur was heard widely by a number of players on the field.
"Rather than NZ Football or the Qatari Football Association commenting further, we have referred this matter to FIFA to investigate, due to the seriousness of its nature."
FIFA may decide to fine the All Whites and NZ Football for not playing the second half, or the Qatari Football Federation may ask NZ Football to reimburse funds contributed for the Vienna match.
