NRL: NZ Kiwis star Dylan Brown charged with 'sexual touching' after incident at Sydney bar

NZ Kiwis star Dylan Brown faces five charges of 'sexual touching', after an incident in a Sydney bar over the weekend.

The Parramatta Eels half was at the Golden Sheaf in Double Bay on Saturday, when a 20-year-old woman told staff that she had been groped.

The Daily Telegraph reports Brown, 22, was taken to the Waverley Police Station, charged and granted bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday.

"About 11.40pm yesterday officers attached to Eastern Suburbs PAC were called to a hotel on New South Head Rd at Double Bay following a report of sexual touching," said police.

"Police arrested a 22-year-old man, he was taken to Waverley Police Station, where he has been charged with sexually touching another person without consent."

Brown's Eels team were on an NRL bye week and are scheduled to face Canterbury Bulldogs next Monday.

Under bail conditions, he must report daily, between 8-10am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

"The NRL Integrity Unit is aware of the matter, and is liaising with the Parramatta Eels and NSW Police," said an NRL spokesperson.

Brown has been one of the competition's form players this season, but last year's beaten finalists are currently sitting outside playoffs contention, with just six wins from 13 games.
