Ugly scenes marred the end of State of Origin II between Queensland and New South Wales, as both sides became entangled in a scuffle before full-time.
As the Maroons sealed the series with a 32-6 win over the Blues at Suncorp Stadium, Queensland fullback Reece Walsh and New South Wales five-eighth Jarome Luai were both sent off during the final 20 seconds.
The pair were given their marching orders for head-butting, as New South Wales winger Josh Addo-Carr was sent to the sin-bin for a punch. The trio have all been cited by the NRL judiciary for their roles in the incident.
Walsh and Luai could both be docked up to 23 percent of their match fees, provided they plead guilty early. If they fight the charges and are found guilty of a grade two striking charge, they would be docked 33 percent.
Separately, Walsh was also cited for dangerous contact, after an incident early in the second half - again involving Luai - with a possible financial hit of 7-10 percent of his match fee.
This isn't the first time Walsh and Luai have clashed in this series, as the Queensland fullback came under fire for pulling his rival's hair during the opening victory last month.
Addo-Carr will face a grade one striking charge, and could lose 10-13 percent of his match fee, should he plead guilty early or contest.
Both sides will play out a dead-rubber series finale on July 12, with Queensland looking to seal a clean sweep.
