All Whites star Sarpreet Singh has been sold by German giants Bayern Munich to second-tier club Hansa Rostock on a three-year deal.
Singh's time with the Bundesliga heavyweights' first team has been limited, a situation not helped by his ongoing run with injuries.
The midfielder has spent the last three seasons on loan with second-division clubs Jahn Regensburg and FC Nurnberg, but has been hampered by a groin injury, which has meant he hasn't featured for the All Whites since January 2022.
Singh was transferred for an undisclosed fee by Bayern Munich, who thanked him for his contribution to the club.
"We would like to thank Sarpreet for his commitment to FC Bayern, especially in the season of the third division championship," said Bayern sports director Halil Altintop. "He had a large part in the success of the teams.
"He was also able to show his qualities again and again at his loan stations, especially in his first Regensburg season. Sarpreet made a major contribution to staying up in the league.
"We wish him all the best for the future."
In 2019, Singh left Wellington Phoenix to sign with Bayern Munich in a blockbuster move, but only made a couple of appearances for the first team.
He spent most of his tenure with the club's reserve team, which plays in the third division, helping them to a league title in 2019/20.
"I'm really looking forward to this new chapter in my career, and to playing for the traditional club and in this fantastic stadium," said Singh.
"So far, I've only had the experience of playing against Hansa, so I can't wait to play for Hansa."
