On the eve of the opening match of the World Cup, the Football Ferns have made it clear they're chasing history on the hallowed turf of Eden Park.
The Kiwis have never won a game at a World Cup, but are hoping to change that when they face off against 12th-ranked Norway tomorrow night.
The countdown to one of the biggest sporting events on the planet is almost over. New Zealand's national stadium is set and so too are the Ferns.
"We're always seen as the underdogs and we've always taken it in our stride and we'll do the same looking at our first game tomorrow and we can't wait to get started now," Ferns midfielder Ria Percival said.
And they'll do that against Norway tomorrow night, a side ranked 11 places higher than them and one they've never met at a World Cup.
"We know they've got many threats up front, their attacking line are really good individual players and when they come together, so, for us it's just about focusing on our job," Percival said.
And with Eden Park home to some of New Zealand's greatest sporting feats, the Ferns have their eyes set on chasing some history of their own.
"To achieve our goal of winning a World Cup game and doing that at home, that'll be the greatest tournament, the greatest game that I would ever have in my career," Ferns defender Ali Riley said.
For some of their most capped players, this could be their fifth and final World Cup.
"Realistically, this absolutely could be the last and at least for the group of players we have now," Riley said.
"I don't think the same faces will be on this team in four years' time but I'm not making any decisions now."
Instead, the focus is firmly on tomorrow's match and the preparation that's gone into making the stadium of 40,000 fans proud.
"It was tough, it was hard, it hurt many times but at this stage, the preparation is done and now it's time to shine," Ferns coach Jitka Klimkova said.
It's time for the Football Ferns and New Zealand to shine and show the world what we've got.
