Silver Ferns defender Kayla Johnson has dropped the biggest hint husband Shaun will be available for NZ Warriors' trip to Sydney to face Parramatta Eels on Saturday.
Johnson, 31, is currently expecting her second child, leaving her husband's participation in Saturday's clash up in the air.
Named to start at halfback for the Warriors, Shaun Johnson's involvement depends on when his wife goes into labour, expected to be in coming days.
Posting on Instagram, Kayla Johnson dropped a hint that her husband is likely to travel with the Warriors on Friday.
"One week to go, but please stay in there while your dad's away this weekend," she wrote, with a picture of her baby bump.
Warriors coach Andrew Webster says Johnson will be given as long as he needs to make a call on whether he turns out to face the Eels.
Should he take the field, he'll become the fifth player to notch 200 games for the Warriors, joining Simon Mannering, Stacey Jones, Manu Vatuvei and Ben Matulino in the double-centurions club.
If Johnson is unavailable to face Parramatta, Ronald Volkman would likely slot in at halfback to partner Luke Metcalf.
So far this season, Johnson has played in all 16 of the Warriors' NRL matches, scoring six tries, assisting 16 and leading the competition in kicking metres.
