NZ Warriors forward Josh Curran is likely to miss Saturday's clash against the Parramatta Eels after being issued a breach notice by the NRL following his guilty plea to an assault charge.
Curran, 24, avoided conviction after pleading guilty to the assault of a teenager following a scuffle at Port Macquarie last October.
But the NRL Integrity Unit has proposed a two-match ban and a $10,000 fine following their own investigation into the incident, which would see him ruled out against the Eels.
Curran was a late scratch in round 18's defeat to the South Sydney Rabbitohs last week, which the NRL has proposed could be counted towards the suspension.
That means he will be available for selection for the following match against the Cronulla Sharks at Auckland on July 16.
Curran has also been ordered to engage in and complete relevant education and training as advised by the NRL, and has five business days to respond to the breach notice.
The news will come as another blow to Warriors coach Andrew Webster, who could also be without halfback Shaun Johnson for the trip to Parammata.
Johnson and his wife Kayla are awaiting the birth of their second child.
Should he be ruled out, he will have to wait until the following round's clash against the Sharks to make his 200th NRL appearance.
Meanwhile, Kiwis and Eels five-eighth Dylan Brown has been issued with a seven-match ban, and a half-suspended $40,000 fine after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual touching.
Brown originally faced five counts following an incident at a Sydney pub last month, but police withdrew three charges in light of the guilty pleas.
