Once again, Dame Lisa Carrington has been crowned world champion in the K1 500, claiming the title for the fourth time as a 14th world title.
Off the back of winning the K4 500 title on Saturday, Olympic champion Carrington backed up as a single, and didn't disappoint in Duisburg, Germany.
The 34-year-old dominated from the start to cross the finish line in 1m 47.769s, 1.33s faster than second place, Emma Jorgensen of Denmark.
Hungary's Tamara Csipes completed the podium to take bronze.
All up, across all disciplines, Carrington's victory gave her a 14th gold medal at the world championships across her career.
And with the Paris Olympics getting closer by the day, Carrington is timing her run to perfection to add to her five gold medals and further her case as New Zealand's most decorated Olympian.
"It's been an amazing regatta," said Carrington. "I love being here in Duisburg, I'm excited to be back here.
"I'll just try to keep building on what we've been doing. I was really stoked with yesterday in the K4.
"[It was] awesome to be able to turn up again today and be able to race like that, especially against some tough competition.
"It's been a really good regatta, so far."
Of Carrington's 14 gold medals, a staggering nine have come in the K1 200, four in the K1 500, with one apiece in the K2 500 and K4 500.
Aside from 14 golds, Carrington has also won five silver medals and three bronzes at the world championships.
