Kia ora, good morning and welcome to Newshub's live updates of the Blackcaps v England, from Manchester's Old Trafford.

Just a couple of days on from a chastening defeat first up, the Blackcaps go again in the hopes of levelling the rare four-match series.

New Zealand's batting was badly exposed in game one, with only Glenn Phillips scoring more than 20 in a meek first-up effort.

Admittedly, these four matches are little more than an appetiser for the ODI series to follow, serving as a warm-up for the Cricket World Cup beginning next month - where these two sides will meet in the tournament opener.

As far as changes go, the Blackcaps could bring back Rachin Ravindra to bat at No.3 after doing so in the warm-up matches at the expense of Tim Seifert, and hand the wicketkeeping gloves to Devon Conway.

England meanwhile would be hard-pressed to make any changes, after such a convincing win in the series opener at Chester-le-Street.

TAB odds: Blackcaps $2.65, England $1.43

Teams (predicted):

Blackcaps: 1-Finn Allen, 2-Devon Conway (wk), 3-Rachin Ravindra, 4-Daryl Mitchell, 5-Mark Chapman, 6-Glenn Phillips, 7-Mitchell Santner, 8-Adam Milne, 9-Ish Sodhi, 10-Tim Southee (c), 11-Lockie Ferguson

England: 1-Will Jacks, 2-Jonny Bairstow, 3-Dawid Malan, 4-Jos Buttler (c & wk), 5-Harry Brook, 6-Liam Livingstone, 7-Moeen Ali, 8-Sam Curran, 9-Adil Rashid, 10-Brydon Carse, 11-Luke Wood
