Captain Ameliaranne Ekenasio has thrown her support behind coach Dame Noeline Taurua to continue her tenure with the Silver Ferns.
Since New Zealand's heartbreaking result at the Netball World Cup in August, nothing has been confirmed about Taurua's future with the Ferns, but skipper Ekenasio insists she must remain at the helm.
"The simple answer is 100 percent," said Ekenasio.
Netball New Zealand and Taurua have both been tight lipped whether she'll continue as head coach, after the team came home from last month's Netball World Cup empty handed – their fourth-place finish their worst in the event's history.
Taurua's contract is up in November and she's recently stated she's "unsure" if she wants to continue with the side.
Ekenasio was part of the squad before Taurua took charge in 2018 and says it's hard to quantify what she's done for the team since.
"To see the transformation she brought with her and the turnaround she was able to take us from where we were previously was massive," Ekenasio added.
"I've got her to thank for my career."
For now, Taurua insist she's staying focused on their immediaite task at hand - and that's a series against the English Roses starting next week.
"We just have to get out heads down, bums up and work and get ready, so looking forward to it actually," said Taurua.
