It's a match a dozen years in the making and the Warriors are welcoming the underdog status being draped around their necks.
In just a few hours, they'll take on the Broncos for a spot in their first NRL Grand Final since 2011. Although if the local noise is anything to go by, very few are giving them a chance.
If the significance of the stakes were weighing on the minds of the Warriors, as they took to the streets of Brisbane on Saturday just hours shy of their biggest game in 12 years, they certainly weren't showing it.
"Everyone's happy, relaxed," said Warriors chief executive Cam George. "I think energised by the occasion.
Facing 52,000-plus at Suncorp Stadium, it's a momentous occasion the team's boss wants his team to embrace.
"We're not here to lose," added George. "Whilst everyone's saying we can't win, within the four walls of the Warriors, everyone's saying we can."
It would be just the third time the club has reached a Grand Final in its three decades of existence.
The team will face their toughest crowd yet. The belief in Brisbane is that it's the Broncos' game to lose. Their newspapers have been plastered with the team who many say are on the edge of glory.
"The Broncos aren’t going to be easy," said ex-Warriors coach Tony Kemp. "They've got a fantastic spine in Josh Reynolds, and of course Reece Walsh in the back."
Add to that mix a raucous home crowd at a stadium where the Warriors have only beaten the Broncos four times.
"My advice - you don't get to play these games often," Kemp added. "You're one win away from the dream, so go out there and enjoy it."
The Warriors are certainly showing signs they'll do exactly that.
