Kia ora, good evening and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the Constellation Cup third test between the Silver Ferns and Australia at Invercargill's Stadium Southland.
After two resounding defeats on the other side of the Tasman, New Zealand are battling to keep this four-game series alive and must now win the two home fixtures by more than a cumulative 19 goals to lift the trophy.
This is not unheard of - the Ferns won both home games last year, before letting the silverware slip through their fingers across the ditch - but it will be difficult against the reigning world champions.
Aussie shooter Cara Koenen has dominated this contest, converting 100 percent (33/33) of her attempts at Brisbane on Sunday and 93.8 percent across the opening two games.
New Zealand have been boosted by the return of shooter Grace Nweke, who injured a knee during the World Cup, a blow her team were unable to overcome in their worst-ever performance at the tournament.
Nweke shot 21/24 (88 percent) at Brisbane and now faces competition for her spot from rookie Amelia Walmsley, who has continued her international development with 38/44 (86.4 percent) accuracy so far during this series.
Tonight's game will also honour the contribution of local coaching legend Robyn Broughton, who coached Southern Sting to seven National Bank Cup titles.
