Hawke's Bay Magpies coach Brock James and vice-captain Brad Weber have fronted the media in Napier.
It comes after New Zealand Rugby launched an investigation following the breaking of the Ranfurly Shield on Saturday night. Images also emerged of white powder on the shield.
