NZ Warriors may have missed out on a place in the NRL Grand Final, but there will still be plenty of Kiwis on show in the women's final at Sydney's Accor Stadium.
In a game dominated by men, the women make themselves known standing centrestage in front of fans, before the final showdown between Gold Coast Titans and Newcastle Knights..
"I haven't been in this position before," Titans' Kiwi captain Georgia Hale told Newshub. "It's so nice, I'm a Kiwi girl and I'm so proud."
Hale is not the only New Zealander to take the field on Sunday. Nial Williams-Guthrie hopes to match the feat of famous brother Sonny Bill and win a premiership in her first year of rugby league.
"There's always a bit of banter between the Aussies and Kiwis," she said. "I never thought I'd be part of one.
"I came here to win a premiership - to be 70 minutes away is pretty cool."
The mum of two girls was pregnant, when she watched her brother win his second premiership 10 years ago with Sydney Roosters.
As for any advice from her superstar brother?
"He just said to go out and have fun really," Williams added. "Stay in the moment, execute your role.
"Don't let the occasion get better of you. It's just another game of footy."
The game continues to grow for women. The Warriors have confirmed they want to be back in the NRLW, when the competition expands to 12 teams in 2025.
"It's a pathway that's needed out of home to play at the top level," added Hale. "It could take a season, it could take a few more.
"When the time is right, it needs to happen."
For now, they're fully focused on the final in front of them on Sunday.
