Kansas City Chiefs tightend Travis Kelce has shown popstar Taylor Swift doesn't hold the monopoly on theatrics in their superstar romance.
With the defending Super Bowl champions leading New England Patriots 14-10, Kelce was targeted by quarterback Patrick Mahones in the endzone, but appealed for defensive interference, as he tumbled to the turf and missed the catch.
To his credit, he sold the collision well, but could not convince the referee, who refused to award the penalty.
In the hospitality box, Swift did her bit to support her man, seemingly dropping an F-bomb on national TV, when his plight went unrecognised by the men in stripes.
Regardless, Kansas City went on to record a 27-17 win, taking their record to 9-5, with three weeks of the NFL regular season remaining.
The burgeoning relationship between Kelce and Swift has taken the American Football competition by storm, with her presence at games becoming a regular centre of attention - to the disgust of some hardcore proponents.
Veteran commentator Al Michaels has controversially been left off NFL playoff coverage, after referring to Swift as a "sideshow" in a Sports Illustrated interview.
"You can’t make a sideshow the show," he insisted, but apparently you can.
