Kane Williamson will lead a Blackcaps side at mostly full-strength in the year-ending Twenty20 International series against Bangladesh.
Williamson hasn't played a T20 for the Blackcaps since November 2022, after a knee injury kept him sidelined for most of this year.
Aside from their captain, the core of the Blackcaps' World Cup squad also returns, after being rested for the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh.
Mark Chapman, Kyle Jamieson, Daryl Mitchell, Jimmy Neesham, Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi and Tim Southee have all been named, while there is no room for all-rounder Rachin Ravindra after his breakout campaign - albeit in a different format.
Devon Conway has also been rested, after a year that's seen him play Twenty20 cricket around the world in multiple franchise leagues.
Tim Seifert has been named as the squad's sole specialist wicketkeeper in Conway's place.
Wellington fast bowler Ben Sears is also included, with Lockie Ferguson absent with an achilles issue. So far, Sears has played six times for the Blackcaps in the shortest format, albeit all coming away from home.
Trent Boult is also unavailable due to franchise T20 commitments, while Matt Henry continues to recover from a hamstring injury.
The series opens on 27th at Napier's McLean Park, before games two and three at Mt Maunganui's Bay Oval on December 29 and 31.
