The White Ferns switch into 50-over mode on Tuesday, when they face Pakistan in the first of three one-dayers.
One player Pakistan can be pleased isn't involved in the series is Rosemary Mair, whose historic feats over the weekend saw her join a very exclusive club.
The Central Hinds seamer is in dreamland, after claiming a double hattrick - four wickets in four balls - against Otago in the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield.
"It's taken me 15 years to do that," she told Newshub. "Probably never again, but we can always try.
"When I got the hattrick - and then the double hat-trick - I didn't actually realise until someone from my team mentioned it to me. I was so shocked."
Only six other women in the world have done so in their 'List A' career, making her the seventh and the first Kiwi.
"I didn't realise the list was that small," she continued. "It's a pretty cool achievement."
That achievement happened on the same day the White Ferns completed their T20 series against Pakistan - a series Mair wasn't selected for. She also won't take part in their ODI series.
"The White Ferns are improving every game and I think, for them, it's just having that whole rounded team effort."
Mair's full focus is now on the Super Smash, which begins next week.
"We've had a pretty disappointing Super Smash the last few seasons, but we've all been working really hard to become a better T20 team," she said. "I think we're in with a shot this season."
With Mair in their midst - a woman with a double hattrick to her name - their chances look pretty good.
