Kia ora, good afternoon and welcome to the final day of the first test between the Blackcaps and Bangladesh at Sylhet International Stadium.
This may prove to be a very short day for both teams, as New Zealand try to stave off inevitable defeat on deteriorating pitch, still requiring 219 runs for victory, but with only three wickets up their sleeves.
Daryl Mitchell will resume on 44, really the only Kiwi batter to show any resistance, with spin-bowler Ish Sodhi defending the other end, and captain Tim Southee and Ajaz Patel awaiting their fate.
Taijul Islam has been the destroyer for Bangladesh, as he chases his 12th test five-wicket bag.
This isn't the start the former world test champions were seeking for their third campaign in this format. The likely defeat will be their second-ever to the Tigers, after their downfall at Mt Maunganui last year, and their first in Bangladesh.
Obviously, much work to be done before the second test at Mirpur.
