Kia ora, good afternoon and welcome to live coverage of the second test between the Blackcaps and Bangladesh, from Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla Stadium.
The Blackcaps need to bounce back, fast, if they're to avoid a first test series defeat to Bangladesh, after last week's 150-run loss in Sylhet.
Bangladesh have only achieved two test victories over New Zealand. The first, at Mt Maunganui in 2021, was immediately followed by an innings win for the Blackcaps, albeit in the friendlier surrounds of Christchurch.
In Dhaka, conditions will likely favour Bangladesh's array of spinners, namely Taijul Islam, fresh from his 10-wicket haul.
Bangladesh are likely to back their winning side from the series opener, while the Blackcaps could be tempted into changes.
Rachin Ravindra would be the obvious inclusion, but who he'd come into the team for is anyone's guess. Henry Nicholls is under pressure to retain his spot at No.4, which could potentially force a reshuffle in the Blackcaps' batting order.
Mitchell Santner could also make his way into the playing XI to strengthen the lower order batting, albeit potentially at the expense of Ajaz Patel.
TAB odds: New Zealand $2, Bangladesh $3.35, draw $3.30
Teams (predicted):
New Zealand: 1-Tom Latham, 2-Devon Conway, 3-Kane Williamson, 4-Daryl Mitchell, 5-Glenn Phillips, 6-Tom Blundell (wk), 7-Rachin Ravindra, 8-Kyle Jamieson, 9-Ish Sodhi, 10-Tim Southee (captain), 11-Ajaz Patel
