Jackson-Cartwright will contend with Perth Wildcats star Bryce Cotton and Melbourne United's Chris Goulding for the Andrew Gaze Trophy - the league's top individual honour.
The American import has been one of the Breakers' most consistent performers through his maiden campaign with the club.
The Los Angeles native finished the regular season ranked third in points (20.2 per game), second in assists (5.7 per game), as well as a league-leading 1.9 steals per game.
The winner - decided by coaches and captains from all 10 teams, and a panel of experts - will be announced at the Andrew Gaze MVP awards night in Melbourne on Monday night.
Jackson-Cartwright is in line to become the third Breakers player to win the award, after Kirk Penney in 2009/09 and Cedric Jackson in 2012-13.
He'll attempt to lead the Breakers past Sydney Kings in their sudden-death play-in game next Wednesday.
