Live updates: Blackcaps v Australia - Twenty20 international at Wellington's Sky Stadium

  • 21/02/2024

Kia ora and welcome to Newhub's live coverage of the first of three Twenty20 Internationals against the Australians.

The series begins at Wellington's Sky Stadium, where they're expecting one of their biggest crowds in almost a decade, with over 22,000 fans set to flock to the waterfront.

Mitchell Santner takes the reins for the NZ side in the absence of regular captain Kane Williamson, who's absent on paternity leave.

Mitchell Marsh will lead the Aussies, but the spotlight will likely be squarely centered on David Warner, who hasn't been shy in making his feelings felt on the NZ crowds after his last experience here back in 2016.

We'll have all of the action from 7:10pm.

New Zealand: Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Will Young, Rachin Ravindra, Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman, Josh Clarkson, Mitchell Santner (captain), Adam Milne, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee (game one only), Lockie Ferguson, Ben Sears. (Trent Boult will be added to the squad for games two and three.)
