Kia ora, good evening and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the Crusaders v Moana Pasifika Super Rugby Pacific clash at Christchurch's Apollo Projects Stadium.
Here we are at the final round of the regular season and despite their dismal results to date, the defending champions have a chance to sneak into the top eight and grab a quarter-final berth.
The task ahead of them is not that daunting - Moana Pasifika have struggled to compete most of the season under new coach Tana Umaga and are very beatable, even with the necessary bonus point, but the Crusaders need some help.
The big result for them will be Melbourne Rebels v Fijian Drua at Lautoka, where the titleholders need the Rebels to achieve what many before them - including the Crusaders themselves - could not and that's victory in a hostile tropical environment.
If the Crusaders can somehow reach the post-season, that will see all five NZ franchises represented in the playoffs.
