Coach Jitka Klimkova will return to the Football Ferns with immediate effect, after the completion of an investigation into an "employment matter".
Klimkova missed the recent international friendlies against Japan in Spain, where assistant coach Michael Mayne stepped in for the two matches, both of which were one-sided defeats.
NZ Football says Klimkova voluntarily took the leave of absence and will not make any further comment on the matter, refusing to reveal any findings by the independent workplace investigator.
"With the investigation, commissioned by New Zealand Football and carried out by an independent workplace investigator, now concluded, Klimkova will return with immediate effect," NZ Football said.
"As is standard in workplace investigations and employment matters, findings of the investigation are strictly confidential to the related parties."
A former defender for the Czech national team, Klimkova took the reins with the Football Ferns in 2021.
Last year, she guided New Zealand to their first win at a Football World Cup in their 1-0 victory over Norway in the opening match of the tournament at Auckland.
