The scene of one of New Zealand's greatest sporting moments - the famous Pinehurst No.2 course - is where Ryan Fox will look to replicate Michael Campbell's heroics, when US Open begins later this week.
Providing added motivation, Fox has the 2005 champion in attendance alongside him.
"I'd love to emulate a little bit of what happened to him that week," Fox told Newshub.
"It's so nice to be back here and reminisce about my win here, beating Tiger by two shots," Campbell added.
"It brings back some incredible memories."
Fox hopes to continue his form from the Canadian Open earlier this month, where he finished tied for seventh.
