The ticketing website crashed, as fans desperately tried to secure seats, before the Blues announced that more than 40,000 tickets had been scooped up.
The news is a major boost for the hosts and heavy favourites for the decider, who spoke of the challenge that awaits them, as they look to end a 21-year drought.
While they're unbeaten at home in 15 games, for the Blues, enjoying the present is as important as what's to come.
"At the moment, it's Tuesday, we've got another training day Thursday, captain's run Friday and then we can get really excited about Saturday," said assistant coach Craig McGrath.
Regardless, they know what a daunting prospect they face, despite losses to the Chiefs cattle.
Hooker Samisoni Taukei'aho will miss the game with an Achilles injury, while back-up Bradley Slater also required a head injury assessment and suffered a knee injury in the semi-final, although he hasn't yet been ruled out yet.
"We're really happy with our two hookers and how they're going," said McGrath.
"It's unfortunate for them. you feel for those guys and their injuries, because they miss out on this opportunity to play in a grand final."
All hands are on deck today for the Blues. Despite suffering a serious medial ligament injury that kept him out of last week's game, captain Patrick Tuipulotu was among those who trained on Tuesday.

"It's going to be awesome," said hooker Ricky Riccitelli. "It's what you dream of as a footy player."
