Super Rugby Pacific: Quarter-final team announcements

The latest line-ups and injuries for all NZ franchises playing in the Super Rugby Pacific quarter-finals 

Chiefs vs Reds

Coach Clayton McMillan has made only three changes to the team named to face the Blues, before he was forced to make late backline changes. Fullback Shaun Stevenson and winger Emoni Narawa have again been selected, although they were late scratchings last week.

In the midfield, Rameka Poihipi has been preferred to Quinn Tupaea, while All Blacks Samisoni Taukei'aho and Tupou Vaa'i return to their starting spots at hooker and lock respectively.

Hurricanes vs Rebels

All Blacks prop Tyrel Lomax will miss the Hurricanes' home quarter-final, while captain Brad Shield will return from injury off the bench.  

Pasilio Tosi starts in Lomax's place, while coach Clark Laidlaw has opred for Peter Lakai ahead of Du'Plessi Kirifi in the No.7 jersey, with the latter also among the reserves.

Veteran halfback TJ Perenara is also named, after leaving the field against the Highlanders with a knee injury.

Coach Vern Cotter has made a key change to his backline, returning Harry Plummer to first-five, where he played most of the regular season, and handing Stephen Perofeta the No.15 jersey.

All Blacks centre Rieko Ioane returns from the hand injury that saw him withdraw late from the Chiefs encounter, while Josh Beehre replaces lock Sam Darry, who is currently under head injury protocols.

Cam Millar will return to the Highlanders No.10 jersey for the sudden-death visit to the Aussie capital, with Tanielu Tele'a back at centre.

Sean Withy claims the openside flank berth, with lock Mitch Dunshae in the second row, after missing last week's loss to the Hurricanes.
