But Brent crude futures and West Texas Intermediate crude both saw their biggest weekly percentage drops in about a month.
Brent crude settled up $3.07, or 2.8 percent, at $113.12 a barrel on Friday (local time).
Oil prices tumbled around 3 percent in the US.
It comes after members of the International Energy Agency agreed to join in the largest-ever US oil reserves release.
The price of Brent crude oil has jumped around 9 percent in one day.
