Television technology has become far more advanced in recent years than ever before, but many people aren't taking full advantage of the benefits.
"Smart TVs these days have so much you can do on them, people are just scratching the surface of them," Noel Leeming Tech Solutions specialist Toby Foreland told The AM Show.
"TVs are getting more and more like computers. If you think about all the stuff you can do on your computer, the gap between that and what you can do on your TV is shrinking every day.
"It's all about streaming, so anything you think you can watch, you can do that on your smart TV."
While pretty much any new TV you could go into a shop and buy today will be a smart TV, you can make an older TV smart by getting a Google Chromecast or similar smart device.
Of course, smart TVs rely on the internet and Foreland says the importance of a fast connection can't be overstated.
"The most important thing is to get your internet sorted. If it's not, when you're watching Netflix and TV on demand services, you'll get buffering or the resolution won't be quite right."
To ensure you're getting the most out of your new smart TV or for help with making an older TV smart, Noel Leeming Tech Solutions specialists can assist you in-store or at your place.
