Kiwis dreading the cold of the impending winter may be able to start thinking about next summer with JBL's new line of portable wireless speakers.
The audio brand has launched its Flip 6 speaker in Aotearoa with a redesigned and updated addition to its range, including refreshed colours.
Costing around $200, the colours include dusty pink, river teal, ocean blue, forest green and fiesta red.
"The Flip series has been a best seller in its category around the world, and we're ecstatic to be able to introduce the latest model for Kiwis to enjoy," said Michael Sherman, senior strategy manager at JBL New Zealand.
"The real game changer is the sound upgrade over the previous models. The Flip 6 offers an additional 10w of powerful JBL sound over the last generation.
"There are also two drivers now; a racetrack-shaped driver that focuses on delivering mid and low frequency sound, and a separate tweeter for better high frequency extension."
The Flip 6 promises 12 hours of playtime and, with IP67 water and dust resistance, should be safe to use in backyards and beaches all over Aotearoa as well as for those who like a sing-along in the shower.
It's also PartyBoost compatible, so the speaker can be joined with others to create a bigger and louder sound and includes dual passive radiators for deep bass.
The Flip 6 joins other popular Bluetooth speakers in New Zealand, like the Bose SoundLink Flex range, Sony's SRS speakers and Ultimate Ears' (UE) Boom 3 range.
