A pool at an isolated lodge on Waiheke Island has caught the attention of global travellers.
Delamore Lodge's pool has recently been named one of the 14 best pools in the world by contributors to travel review website TripAdvisor.
Delamore director Roselyn Barnett Storey said her staff, the pool's builders and Waiheke residents are proud of making it to the list.
"People from all over the globe come just to have their photos taken with the amazing backdrop of fabulous views."
Delamore Lodge is a luxury small boutique lodge with an onsite jacuzzi, sauna, spa treatment facility and of course the heated swimming pool overlooking the Hauraki Gulf.
If you are lucky enough to stay a night, your booking would include transfers to and from the lodge as well as pre-dinner drinks, canapés, breakfast and a custom-made meal by an in-house chef.
Delamore's chef caters for guests individual dining requirements, which is great if you're like me and you have a list of allergies as long as their champagne menu.
Those looking for a romantic location may fall in love with the view just as much as their partner as they dine in the secluded island spot. The only noise interruption is likely to come from native birds in the area.
Waiheke architect Ron Stevenson designed the property, giving the proud islanders even more reason to celebrate.
Ms Barnett Storey said Mr Stevenson's knowledge of the landscape and the feel of the island helped with building the unique structure.
Bookings start from around the $1400 mark however, so maybe wait for when the job as pool cleaner becomes available.
