Passengers on two Air New Zealand flights have had their travel plans disrupted in the last 12 hours due to technical issues.
Flight NZ80 returned to Hong Kong on Sunday night as a precautionary measure after pilots discovered a fault with one of the hydraulic systems.
And on Monday morning NZ101, flying from Auckland to Sydney, returned to Auckland as a precaution due to an issue with the system that heats one of the windows in the flight deck.
Both flights were the same type of plane - a Boeing 777-200ER.
All passengers were accommodated and put on alternative flights.
