Lucky travellers who snapped up extremely discounted flights from Cathy Pacific will be able to keep their tickets.
The airline accidentally sold several business- and first-class seats from Vietnam to New York, which normally go for around US$16,000 (NZ$24,100), for just US$675 (NZ$1000).
Travel bloggers first reported the mistake on New Year's Eve (local time), before the offer was quickly withdrawn.
But while it may seem too good to be true, Cathay Pacific has decided to honour the discounted tickets.
"To those who bought our good - VERY good surprise 'special' on New Year's Day, yes - we made a mistake but we look forward to welcoming you on board with your ticket issued," the airline wrote on Twitter.
Legally, Cathay Pacific would have been within its rights to cancel the tickets, as it was a mistake.
It's not known how many of the hugely discounted tickets were sold.
While you shouldn't count on discounts quite like these, there's one simple trick to help find cheaper flights - make sure you check different local websites for the best deal.
