Qatar Airways has been named Airline of the Year by SkyTrax at the Paris Air Show overnight.
The airline returned to the top spot on the list, a place it’s held for five times, after being beaten by Singapore Airlines last year.
"We are thrilled to be globally recognised by our customers by winning these four prestigious awards. Being the first airline to be named 'Airline of the Year' for the fifth time is a landmark achievement," said Qatar Airways CEO, Akbar Al Baker.
Other movers in this year's awards are Cathay Pacific, which jumped two positions, and Qantas. The Aussie airline moved up three positions and into the top 10 to place eighth.
Air New Zealand moved up one place to 16th.

The SkyTrax World Airline Awards, launched in 1999 to provide independent customer satisfaction feedback for airlines and travellers around the world. It's now the largest airline awards survey in the world.
