American Airlines has announced two new services in and out of New Zealand.
As well as a new Auckland-Dallas, Fort Worth service, the airline will also begin non-stop flights between Christchurch and Los Angeles.
American Airlines says the announcement is a direct result of a new joint business deal with Qantas.
The airline will fly to Christchurch three times per week from October 2020 through March 2021 with a Boeing 787-8.
American Airlines currently operates a seasonal service from Auckland to Los Angeles. The new service to Dallas, Fort-Worth - one of the busiest airports in the world - will also begin in late 2020.
Further details will be announced later this afternoon.
Tickets will go on sale for the services on November 10.
