A list of the top 50 sexiest cities in the world has been released, and there are some surprises.
The rankings, compiled by Big 7 Travel, used a combination of statistics including which cities have the most sex, cities with the most sex related search terms online, as well as surveys on what people consider the sexiest accents and nationalities in the world.
Many people would have expected Paris to top this list, but it placed second - beaten by Miami, Florida.
Auckland came in 26th place, despite being listed as having the 'sexiest accent' in the world. Auckland is also third on the list of cities with the most sexually satisfied people.
That may be the reason why instead of images of our beautiful coastlines and forests, the publishers used a photo of a shirtless man being massaged on a beach.
The top 10 sexiest cities:
Miami, Florida
Some would say the most sexual thing to come out of Florida is the one-liners from Blanche Deveraux in The Golden Girls, but Big 7 Travel's research showed people had other reasons to crown Miami the sexiest city on Earth.
Its qualities, according to responses in the survey, are its vibrant nightlife, party culture, and the 'scantily-clad locals lining the sandy shores'.
Paris, France
It's the home of the French kiss, that wasn't sexy enough to get Paris on top. The city scored well for its romantic scenery, and food.
Denver, Colorado
According to research from a local university, Denver is the most sexually active city in the US, and another study ranked Denver as the America's "thirstiest" city.
Copenhagen, Denmark
Denmark was voted the second sexiest nation in the world, and its residents also purchase more sex toys per head of population in the world.
Cape Town, South Africa
According to this research, South Africans have the second sexiest accents in the world - just behind us Kiwis. One study showed that South Africans came third globally for the highest number of Google searches for sex toys.
Zurich, Switzerland
It's no surprise that there were numerous Swiss cities ranked highly in terms of sexual activity and overall happiness in life. The Mirror reported that 2 percent of Swiss nationals aren't afraid to do the deed in public.
Cap d'Agde, France
With a nickname like 'The Naked City', it's not hard to see why this place has ranked so highly. Despite being relatively unknown to many, Cap d'Agde could be considered the nudist capital of the world. It's home to some of the best and largest nudist beaches, and you're allowed to shop at the supermarket naked too. I'm not sure where you're meant to put your Onecard.
Dublin, Ireland
A quick survey of my nearby colleagues almost unanimously chose Irish as the sexiest accent. Combine that with the many bars all over the city and beer being poured as if it's water, it's actually surprising this city wasn't further up the list.
Liverpool, UK
Really? We can disagree on this one. This survey said the city's passionate football fans make it a 'hotspot for love, dating and everything in between.'
Los Angeles, California, USA
This is more like it. Sun, sand, se...nsational views. LA really does have it all. It's listed as the kinkiest city in the US and also scored highly when it comes to sexual satisfaction.
The last place on the list of 50 cities went to Dongguan, China. Despite the low ranking, the reasons given in the survey could easily have seen it at the top of the list.
"There are so many women that men have at least three girlfriends," the survey said.
It's reportedly easier to find a girlfriend here for a man than it is to find a job.
Other cities that scored lower than could be expected include Las Vegas. It's the home of sex shows, insane amounts of alcohol and of course the nickname 'Sin City', but Vegas was 48th on the list.
Probably the most surprising omission from the top ten was New York.
It's been labelled by Playboy, and by many others I'm sure, as the sexiest place in the world.
The results of this survey said locals had 'slightly liberal attitudes' and ranked highly in terms of sex-positivity.
