There's nothing more iconic than New York at Christmas and many of us have experiencing a white Christmas in the Big Apple on our bucket list.
Air New Zealand's new non-stop to New York from Auckland service begins on October 29, providing the first non-stop link from Australasia to the Big Apple.
It's only possible to book airfares 350 days in advance - meaning tickets for the Christmas and New Year period have just gone on sale.
"Our non-stop flight will make it easier than ever for Kiwis and Australians to swap a sunny Christmas for New York's winter wonderland, and likewise, we expect many Americans to take advantage of our new flight to enjoy a relaxed, summer Christmas down under," Air NZ's Cam Wallace said.
Air NZ will operate three return services a week between Auckland and Newark Liberty International Airport. Flights to New York will take around 15 hours and 40 minutes, with the return leg taking approximately 17 hours and 40 minutes.
Cabin seating options include lie-flat Business Premiere beds, Premium Economy, Economy Skycouch and new Economy Stretch with extra legroom.
