Air New Zealand has released one-way airfares to New York for as low as $847 on its new direct service which launches in October.
As part of a wider Grabaseat sale, Air NZ has return airfares to New York for $1681 in economy class.
Premium economy return airfares are available for around $3988 (or $2004 one-way), and from $7982 return in business class (or $3997 one-way).
Other business class deals are available such as return to San Francisco or Los Angeles for $6788.
Grabaseat is also offering flights from Auckland to Sydney in premium economy for $779 return and Auckland to London in premium economy one-way for $2,206 and $4,799 return.
Air New Zealand's new direct New York flights will operate three times a week between Newark Liberty International Airport and Auckland International Airport and will use a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
The airline revealed the new direct flights to the Big Apple at the same time as announcing they would be ending their flights to London.
The route will use the iconic NZ1 and NZ2 flight numbers, which are currently used on the airline's flights between Auckland and London.
The route is 14,207km and flight time is expected to be 15 hours 40 minutes northbound and 17 hours 40 minutes southbound.
New York-bound flights will depart Auckland at 7.55pm, arriving in New York at 5.35pm local time and flights leaving New York for Auckland will depart at 7.05pm local time and arrive in Auckland at 6.45am two days later.
