A hotel in Canada is offering a Valentine's Day special with a difference this year: couples will get free accommodation for 18 years if their romantic stay results in a baby.
Hotel Zed has hotels in Victoria and Kelowna in British Columbia.
The LGBTQ-friendly establishment is extending the unusual promotion to everyone, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation - couples can win if they welcome a little one through surrogacy or adoption.
The hotel has previously offered a "nooner" service, where couples could book the hotel for a maximum of four hours. "Nooner" is slang for illicit quickie.
Since the baby maker promo launched on January 14, the hotel has faced some criticism. One person commented on their Facebook page claiming the competition discriminated against those who either don't want kids, or already have them.
Hotel Zed also offers activities for 'afterwards', including poker, spa baths and ping-pong.
