Air New Zealand says there's now enough demand for it to resume its services to Taupo and Timaru, which it will do on June 8.
At first, the airline will operate Auckland-Taupo and Wellington-Timaru services three days per week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Flying into and out of Taupo and Timaru means Air NZ will be flying to every domestic destination it did pre-COVID-19.
"We're pleased to be able to restart both our Taupo-Auckland and Timaru-Wellington routes early next month and we know this news will be welcomed by these towns and their wider regions," says Air NZ's Scott Carr.
Including the most recently announced services, over May and June Air NZ will begin operating the following routes:
Auckland to/from:
- Blenheim
- Christchurch
- Dunedin
- Gisborne
- Kerikeri
- Napier
- Nelson
- New Plymouth
- Palmerston North
- Queenstown
- Rotorua

- Tauranga
- Wellington
- Whangarei
Christchurch to/from:
