Air New Zealand has given a first look inside its redesigned domestic lounge at Auckland Airport, revealing a new sleek, minimalist aesthetic.
The refurbishment of the lounge began in January, but was put on hold during COVID-19 alert level 4.
Air NZ's general manager customer Liz Fraser hopes the upgrade will make for a more comfortable space for guests to either relax or work in.
"We have redone the bar and barista station to provide more space for customers to enjoy a coffee or drink while taking in views of the runway. We've also refreshed the café zone and added more showers for those wanting to freshen up before they fly."
The domestic lounge has a capacity of 375 seats, while the regional lounge has seating for up to 265 customers.
Both the regional and domestic lounges will have the same food and beverage offerings, which are different to what will be on offer at the international lounge when it reopens.
