Not since the early '90s have all the major TV channels in New Zealand played the same song at the same time, but that was the case across networks at 7pm on Tuesday.
Decades ago it was the epic extended version 'God Defend New Zealand' which took over the airwaves. This week the song was also about making our country good and great, but this time it was a new track released as part of a push to get more New Zealanders discovering their own country.
The song, named 'Do Something New, New Zealand', features comedy duo Madeleine Sami and Jackie van Beek, but the pair say that Aotearoa itself is the real star.
"We live in such a beautiful country and our domestic tourism industry sure could do with some help right now, so it's a great time to get out and about!" Jackie van Beek told Newshub.
A Shotover Jet ride and bungee jumping were on the to-do list, much to the horror of adrenaline-averse Sami.
"I wasn't, um, well we sort of... I pussied out basically and didn't jump," she laughed.
'Do Something New, New Zealand' showcases our nation's love of "giant things" with the L&P bottle in Paeroa and the carrot in Ōhakune getting special mentions.
When asked what Auckland's "giant monument thing" would be, should one be made, Sami was quick to serve up her suggestion.
"A giant plate of smashed avocado on toast."
Sami also had some good news to share with any Aucklanders who were perhaps a little scared of the land south of the Bombay Hills.
"I learned that you can't get a bad coffee in New Zealand, anywhere. They're all good," she said.
"It's a real Aucklander thing to say, I know, but my favourite coffee was from a tiny cafe in Kaikoura."
"Oh yeah that little hut with the coffee, that was good," van Beek added.
How times have changed:
Eagle-eyed viewers may notice a few "easter eggs" in the video, including in the opening scene, where the framed pictures on the wall of the café foreshadow some of the adventures to come.
Tourism New Zealand released the first video in its Do Something New, New Zealand campaign six months ago and it's racked up more than 16.2 million views to date.
