Passengers onboard the first flight from Sydney to Auckland on Monday had to wait just that little bit longer for their bubble journey to begin when its departure was delayed for up to an hour.
A spokesperson for Jetstar who was also onboard the flight said the delay was due to a small number of passengers who hadn't presented the required travel documentation upon check-in.
Staff assisted the passengers in filling out their Health Travel Declaration forms, which are a legal requirement of the New Zealand Government.
The delay serves as a reminder to all travellers to make sure all COVID-19 travel documents are completed before departure.
The flight, Jetstar JQ201, then took off without further incident and was scheduled to arrive in Auckland three-and-a-half hours after takeoff at 12:20pm, local time.
