A quarantine-free travel bubble between Australia and New Zealand opened today.
The much-anticipated bubble was announced by New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern earlier this month.
On Monday, Ardern told The AM Show plans are already afoot for another travel bubble with the Cook Islands.
She said it is expected to open next month although an exact date has not been set.
"[It will be] May. I know the Cook Islands Prime Minister wants it to be right at the beginning but, for instance, they're still in the process of setting up their PCR testing and training so they can operate that for surge testing," Ardern told The AM Show.
It is unsure whether there will be another travel bubble after the Cook Islands.
Where should New Zealand open a travel bubble next?
