The first trans-Tasman bubble flight from Australia to New Zealand touched down on our soil on Monday afternoon.
Jetstar flight JQ201 between Sydney and Auckland was delayed by an hour this morning after passengers failed to present the required travel documents at check-in.
As a result, the flight landed at Auckland Airport at about 12:25pm.
Thousands are expected to travel between New Zealand and Australia on Monday, with citizens now able to fly between the countries without quarantining.
The arrival of Australians on our shores comes more than a year after Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern closed New Zealand's borders to all non-residents on March 14, 2020.
