Dramatic video showcasing the work of two pilots landing in strong winds has been posted online, stunning viewers.
The video was filmed inside the cockpit of an aircraft landing at Madeira Airport, otherwise known as Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport located in the Portuguese archipelago of Madeira, a group of islands off the coast of Morocco.
As well as its unique design, partially built on a series of concrete pillars, the airport’s runway is famous for its challenging and strong winds.
The runway could be likened to that of Wellington’s Airport, with strong winds on approach and its short length.
A fellow pilot commented on the video post saying landing at Madeira Airport was "not for the faint hearted if there is wind shear".
Others have claimed that the video was in fact filmed in a simulator.
The pilots were flying an Airbus A320 which has the capacity to fly approximately 180 passengers.
