Bookings have opened this morning for Air New Zealand managed return flights to allow Kiwis to return home from New South Wales from July 28.
These flights were announced shortly before the New Zealand Government announced it was fully closing the trans-Tasman bubble, with other states having different rules to those imposed on New South Wales.
While the seats will be available, the number of travellers will be restricted to the number of spaces available in managed isolation facilities (MIQ) rooms provided by the New Zealand Government.
The flights can be booked through the Air NZ website. On arrival, travelers will go into MIQ for a period of 14 days.
This round of managed return flights from Sydney will be available from Wednesday July 28 and will operate to Auckland only.
Air NZ says the fastest way to get the latest information is to visit its travel alerts page rather than calling its contact centre which is experiencing a very high volume of calls.
The flights will all operate under the flight number NZ864 and will leave Sydney on these dates and times (all times AEST timezone):
- July 28 - 11:50am
- August 1 - 12:20pm
- August 3 - 14:20pm
- August 5 - 16:20pm
- August 7 - 14:20pm
