P&O Cruises Australia has done what many of us thought was becoming near impossible by announcing a cruise around New Zealand, and it's no normal cruise either.
Country music fans may want to put on their cowboy boots and barn dance their way to the harbour for this one: New Zealand's inaugural Country Cruise.
The hoodang will take place aboard P&O's Pacific Explorer, departing Auckland on November 11, 2022 and will last for three nights.
Joining the guests onboard will be some as-yet-to-be-named country music stars performing a mix of new hits and classics.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a range of other country music activities during their getaway, from line dancing and ukulele lessons to bush poetry and a country music sailaway party.
P&O expects the cruise to be a popular addition to its New Zealand Short Break offerings, according to the cruise line's head of entertainment, Brett Annable.
"Country music is king for a lot of New Zealanders so we're looking forward to creating a fantastic festival atmosphere onboard Pacific Explorer as we take this genre to sea," Annable said.
"From morning to night, the New Zealand Country Cruise will offer a fabulous line-up of country music performers, with guests able to sit back and relax as they enjoy the music or get their boots on to dance the cruise away."
The debut New Zealand Country Cruise follows P&O's successful Australian Country Cruise, which sailed from Brisbane in late 2019.
The Pacific Explorer features a wide range of bars, lounges and restaurants, along with a few outdoor attractions including two waterslides, an adventure park and a chilled, barefoot lawn bowling green.
Tickets are available now and start at $449 per person in a quad-share cabin, ranging up to a penthouse suite option that'll cost around $1985 per person for the three nights.
