Jetstar is restarting flights between Auckland and Rarotonga on June 2 and is relaunching the route with discounted airfares starting at $139 each way.
The sale tickets are available until 11:59pm Thursday evening for multiple travel periods between June and mid-December.
Seats will be limited at the low prices and may sell out before the sale ends.
The $139 tickets are available only to members of Club Jetstar, a programme that costs $55 per year and offers early access to sale seats as well as increased discounts.
For non-Club Jetstar members, one-way airfares start at $149 per person.
Jetstar will operate an Airbus A320 on its Auckland-Rarotonga route. The flights will depart Auckland every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 2:50pm, and Rarotonga every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:35pm.
Air New Zealand also flies Auckland-Rarotonga, but additionally has routes to the Cook Islands destination from Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown.
As with any airfare sale, customers should read the terms and conditions before purchasing a ticket. To give assurance amid the threat of COVID-19 disrupting travel plans, Jetstar's Fly Flexible policy allows travellers to change the date of their trip if their plans change, but a fare difference fee may need to be paid.
